INSIDE THE MASTERMIND CURRICULUM
Here is what we'll be covering at a blazing pace:
WEEK 1: BENDING TIME & SPACE
Winning grants is more than just learning the technical skills of grant writing. You need to connect with your creative flow and release yourself from the clutches of procrastination, overwhelm, and lack of mental clarity. To plant new seeds (mindsets and writing habits), we need to first till the soil by removing weeds that will limit your growth.
WEEK 2: CLARITY AND ALIGNMENT
To win grants, you must first line up your ducks. But what are the ducks? This session will explore the four critical components that must align if you want to get funded. We will deep dive into your current strengths and weaknesses and provide a roadmap for how you can fix any gaps.
WEEK 3: UNLEASHING THE POWER OF E-MOTION
Many people are surprised to find that the writing style that made them successful scientists is not suited to crafting winning grants. This is because traditional academic writing is impersonal, objective, and dispassionate. You want your grant to move (Motion)? Focus on the E's: Energy, Enjoyment, Enthusiasm, Enlightenment You will learn how to infuse these E's into your writing.
WEEK 4: STORY AND FRAMING
All ideas exist within frames of reference (i.e., sets of assumptions and attitudes that filter perceptions to create meaning). We will uncover why your world-view often clash with your reviewers' world-view resulting in conflict and negative emotions. You will learn how to tell a compelling story to gain your reviewers' trust and support.
WEEK 5: POWER OF CONTRAST AND REPETITION
Winning a grant is really about securing reviewer enthusiasm and trust. You will learn how to build the appetite for your proposal by eliminating objections to your ideas and sustaining reviewer interest using implicit message repetition.
BONUS TRAINING: UNLOCKING HYPERFOCUS AND FLOW
You will receive bonus training on unlocking hyperfocus and flow so that you can experience clarity and productivity each day during your writing quest.
